THE MEANING BEHIND THE 1948 SOCIETY
Inspired by the courageous Christians who helped prepare the way for Israel's rebirth
In the early decades of the 20th century, there were followers of Jesus who believed God's promises for the Land of Israel and the Jewish people—and acted on those convictions.
Some Christians risked their lives to shelter Jewish families. Some publicly advocated for the rights for Jews to return to their ancestral homeland. Others trained the men who would serve in Israel's first military.
When Israel was reborn in 1948, it marked one of the most extraordinary fulfillments of Biblical prophecy in history. Those faithful Christians helped pave the way.
The work did not end in 1948. Our generation is still called to stand with the Jewish people, help restore the Land of Israel, defend it against those who would erase its story, and help the next generation understand why it matters.
The 1948 Society is an invitation to take our place in that continuing story—and follow in the footsteps of the Christian heroes who came before us.
